Thinking to buy a new phone and a new DAP these days? You want the best CPU performance, a big quality screen, and able to shoot amazing photos while you listen to your favorite music tracks on the go? Are you a fan of BMW? 🙂 Check out the new iQOO 7 before you go shopping, you may get two birds with one stone.
iQOO 7 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, is equipped with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1, supports 120-watt fast charging that can be fully charged in 15 minutes (4000mAh), and comes standard with a 120W charger and charging cable. The screen resolution is 2400×1080, AMOLED panel, the size is 6.62 inches, the aspect ratio is 20:9, and it supports dual pressure sensitivity.
iQOO7 has enhanced heat dissipation performance, using a 4096 square millimeter heat spreader. The rear camera group is composed of the main camera, super-wide and 2X. The main camera adopts a Sony IMX598 sensor with OIS, and the main camera supports the pixel displacement synthesis imaging technology. The camera is equipped with a new algorithm to enhance night scenes and HDR.
The audio part is also bright, using Cirrus Logic CS43131 as an independent DAC, but it does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, wired headphones need to be connected through a TYPE-C adapter cable. UPDATE: I realized that many readers still don’t know that TYPE-C can also act as an analog audio port via analog TYPE-C to 3.5mm converter. “USB-C isn’t so simple. With USB-C, audio data can be sent out the port either as an analog or a digital signal. If the signal is sent as an analog signal, a connected pair of headphones can simply carry that signal to its drivers to produce sound waves. If the data is sent as a digital signal, it will need to be converted to an analog signal before drivers can interpret it.”
The operating system has also changed. OriginOS (Android 11) customized by iQOO is used. The interface style is very different from the old system with 3D like user interface.
The price for 8GB-128GB is 580$, for 12GB-256GB is 645$ (converted from €, may differ depending on your region).
