TINHiFi DUDU Review – Planar for $79
The TINHIFI DUDU Planar Magnetic Driver In-Ear Earphones feature a 13mm planar magnetic driver with a true flat diaphragm unit. The improved diffusion technology ensures equal sound pressure levels in both directions, resulting in a clearer sound with enhanced phase consistency and reduced phase cancellation. The DUDU comes in two variants, standard and Commemorative Edition.
The aerospace-grade aluminum shell is lightweight yet robust, with a chameleon-like panel that adjusts colors based on the environment. The optimized acoustic sound structure reduces resonance frequencies and improves sound field uniformity, resulting in more balanced sound.
Through acoustic anti-resonance modeling of cavity technology, the propagation and reflection of sound within the cavity are analyzed to optimize the cavity structure design. This reduces resonance frequencies and improves sound field uniformity.
The total harmonic distortion presents low distortion and ultra-large dynamic response. The DUDU is designed to provide a balanced sound across bass, mid, and high tones, without overshadowing any frequency range.
The TINHIFI DUDU earphones feature a 14-core component system and advanced technologies, embedding hair-thin 0.01-millimeter copper wires into lightweight composite diaphragms like coiled springs. These highly elastic diaphragms vibrate wildly in a potent N52 magnetic field.
The DUDU Commemorative Edition earphones come with two cables, 3.5mm, and a Type-C. These 2 Pin cables are made up of four-core oxygen-free copper material. The built-in DAC supports 32-bit 384kHz high-resolution audio signal processing and supports a five-band EQ adjustment function as well.
Additionally, the DAC version is equipped with a high-definition call microphone specially designed by TINHIFI, ensuring clear communication.
The 0.78 dual-pin detachable cable design utilizes four strands of oxygen-free copper wire.

Sound
I find the TINHiFi DUDU to be one of the better-tuned IEMs that are somewhat Harman-ish, having a natural presentation, an above-average soundstage, as well as accurate imaging capabilities, which impress me whenever I listen to them.
Bass
You can feel the sub-bass rumbling away on the TINHiFi DUDU, giving that deep baseline that creates that feeling of being “filled” and not lacking in any way. Mid-bass is also well articulated, punches and hits are impactful and agile at the same time. Drums are bass guitars that shine on the TINHiFi DUDU where there isn’t any bass bleed, good punch, and rumble that goes well with epic wartime genres. The DUDU’s bass performance (details and separation) is impeccable, and I enjoyed listening to it.
TINHiFi DUDU delivers a very natural and breathy bass, it is nicely balanced in terms of definition and control. It gives you the bass whenever you need it but always keeps it under control. You have sufficient rumble, good texture, and a well-delivered definition.
Mids
The mids on the TINHiFi DUDU don’t sound recessed whatsoever, vocals still sound natural and spacious in the sense that they don’t sound distant but have that panorama effect. I would like to point out the TINHiFi DUDU’s attention to detail here which might make it sound slightly sterile.
Another plus point that made the TINHiFi DUDU an absolute joy to listen to is partly due to a relatively balanced upper-midrange gain which, unlike many other offerings, does not have an overly emphasized pinna gain that makes it overly shouty. Again, it is a matter of preference, but it is one of the traits I appreciate about the TINHiFi DUDU.
The tonality aspect of the TINHiFi DUDU is its most impressive part, but its dynamism and quickness never fall behind either. You have very good dynamism together with great detail retrieval and transparency.
Treble
Treble performance is applaudable as well as it possesses great extension, well-refined as well as an airy presentation. I did not detect any sibilance or harshness in this region. High frequencies are well extended with great detail ability and most importantly, with great articulation.
It personally got me by surprise, as I didn’t expect it to deliver this level of separation. But the treble has great energy but also great balance and smoothness. I would classify its treble as energetic, detailed, and refined which will satisfy most audiophiles’ cravings for treble.
Technicalities
The TINHiFi DUDU nailed most areas right and on top of that, they have impressive soundstage and imaging capabilities that you can find in higher-priced offerings. Tonality and balance-wise they do sound balanced and don’t sound too skewed to either end.
Sum-Up
The TINHiFi DUDU was truly an enjoyable experience with good sonic capabilities and versatility that can satisfy most critical listeners and handle most genres. You might be looking at a winner here with great build, sound, and most importantly price.
