Crafted from aviation-grade aluminum and featuring replaceable filters for sound customization, the NS10 Pro ensures precision, comfort, and versatility.

The IEM contains an electronic four-way crossover system, which uses eight high-precision Murata capacitors and resistors to construct a sophisticated electronic four-way crossover. At the same time, precise physical three-way frequency control is performed through the inner support tube to ensure three-frequency balance, clear sound levels, and better resolution.

BGVP NS10 Pro Review

In terms of mid- and low-frequency, NS10 Pro has updated the low-frequency and mid-frequency units, adopted a coaxial dual-diaphragm moving coil design, and integrated LCP diaphragm and PEN planar diaphragm technology to improve the texture and volume of low frequencies and make the dynamic phase more accurate.

The mid-frequency section is equipped with the Danish Sonion 2300 series moving iron unit and the newly improved customized NFK-80817, which improves vocal cohesion and smoothness and produces a bright vocal performance.

BGVP NS10 Pro Review

The mid-to-high frequency uses Knowles’ classic RAF series moving iron unit with a tuning hole, which improves the density of vocals, reduces harmonic distortion, and makes the connection between mid-frequency and high-frequency more natural.

The new dual composite unit NFK-80817, independently developed by BGVP, handles the high-frequency and extremely high-frequency parts. The high frequency extends up to 40kHz, and the sound is more transparent and natural.

The sound cavity of NS10 Pro adopts 12K-level high-definition DLP 3D printing technology, combined with BGVP’s rich tuning experience and reasonable acoustic design. The 10 units are compactly arranged, with three-channel sound tubes for independent output, and are equipped with a specially customized NS10 Pro Acoustic damping greatly reduces harmonics and distortion rates, ensuring that the headphones have complete high-fidelity sound quality.

BGVP NS10 Pro Review (2)

In appearance, NS10 Pro continues the minimalist design of the previous generation, using a single piece of 7-series aviation aluminum, which undergoes complex processes such as negative ion polishing, sandblasting, oxidation, and fine carving to bring a luxurious and exquisite visual experience.

The headphones provide replaceable tuning filters, with three options: gold, red, and silver, suitable for classical music, omnivorous, and pop music respectively, to meet the listening needs of different users.

BGVP NS10 Pro Review

Gold filter (High Fidelity): Ideal for classic music, instrumental and acoustic genres. Providing neutral, no coloration sound.

BGVP NS10 Pro Review

It adopts an ergonomic around-the-ear wearing design and is calculated through a large amount of ear mold data to fit the ear pinna more closely, greatly improving comfort and making it suitable for long-term use.

The equipped HiFi-grade four-strand silver-plated braided wire is made of high-purity single-crystal copper with 56 cores per strand, which enables purer signal transmission. The MMCX expansion pluggable design increases the durability of the wire. Standard two-in-one plug, original design, and single-ended balance can be used.

Sound

BGVP NS10 Pro Review

NS10 Pro’s standout feature is likely the Harman(ish) Curve tuning. In essence, the Harman Curve is a well-established tuning intended to provide an enjoyable sound experience for the majority of individuals, backed by thorough research and testing. While everyone’s hearing capabilities and preferences may vary slightly, the Harman Curve is generally expected to offer universally pleasing sound. Making it well-suited for mainstream music genres and listening preferences.

The treble extension is better than the default Harman tuning, which I liked a lot.

Lows

The NS10 Pro has an elevated, impactful, and full-bodied bass reproduction. The sub-bass is slightly more prominent than the rest of the bass range, however, the bass feels abundant altogether.

The textured, powerful bass contributes to the fun factor of the IEM. It’s tuned in a way (Harman 2019 curve v2) to prevent the bass from bleeding into the lower midsection. The detail level is also good. The NS10 Pro performs well in this regard, the bass is controlled, very powerful, and quite exciting to listen to.

Mids

The midrange has a natural and realistic feeling, and vocals and most instruments sound accurate. The NS10 Pro isn’t particularly thick or warm, but they always sound correct, with good transparency and resolution.

The transition from upper bass to lower midrange is smooth. Despite the slightly recessed upper bass, this transition is one of the smoothest in  IEMs at this price range. The lower to middle midrange has a neutral amount of body and is neither tilted toward thick nor thin. As a result, while some male vocals may lack a bit of body and power, the NS10 Pro provides good vocal clarity. For the upper midrange, the NS10 Pro again shows some great control. It has a calm upper midrange.

Highs

The transition from upper midrange to lower treble is impressively coherent. There aren’t any signs of sibilance or sharpness in this region and the NS10 Pro NS10 Pro is very clean up top and non-fatiguing. The treble has a nice balance of lightness and detail. It’s light and airy, with good extension that allows it to shine in the higher frequency ranges. It’s also detailed and precise.

The mid-treble shows a good amount of sparkle, and this allows instruments such as piccolos and crash cymbals to sound “correct”. The treble extension is quite good and is on par with the best performers in this price range. The NS10 Pro NS10 Pro extends way up to the upper treble and remains smooth and silky sounding.

Technical performance

The sound stage is one of the strongest parts of the NS10 Pro NS10 Pro without a doubt. Especially in terms of width. Separation-wise things are very good, you get excellent stereo imaging and positioning with very good sharpness and focus. The NS10 Pro is good on details, and also very good in terms of overall resolution and transparency. It has great micro detail ability and realistic timbre too.

NS10 Pro vs NS10

BGVP NS10 Pro Review 28

I reviewed the BGVP NS10 around a year ago. If you look at the graph you can clearly see the improvements (depending on your taste) on the “Pro” version. The NS10 Pro has more pronounced lows due to the reduced mid frequencies and has slightly better treble extension after the 10K region.

The new tuning can be seen as more mainstream than the previous model as it resembles the Harman tuning. The original NS10 has a flatter tuning which is unique in its way, I like it more to be honest.

Sum-Up

The BGVP NS10 Pro combines cutting-edge driver technology, high-quality materials, and a customizable sound experience. Officially certified for Hi-Res Audio, it delivers audiophile-grade sound with rich details across a wide frequency range.

Whether you’re a pop, rock, classical, or electronic music fan, the NS10 Pro’s filter system and tuning flexibility make it an ideal choice for discerning listeners. NS10 Pro is one of the best under $200 packages in the market right now, both in the sound quality and box content.
