Unboxing
Sound
Lows
The C2 2025 delivers rich and powerful bass hits that are textured and strong. Despite this, they don’t overwhelm you. Instead, the deep rumble and impactful hits create a well-balanced, perfectly timed, and highly satisfying sound.
The bass frequencies have a quite simple delivery in the sound signature. The timbre provides the goods in terms of clarity and heft, making for a colorful tone that textures the frequencies with a considerable amount of detail.
The sub-bass has a deep sound with great texture. The midbass hits hard without being overpowering. The notes have a nice weight to sound realistic. Every detail is clear. The agility in this section is truly impressive.
Mids
The mids are impressively transparent with well-defined notes that are full-bodied and free from any harsh peaks. It’s a refined and palpable sound, not overly lush, with a neutral tonality that remains engaging.
While I don’t believe there to be any recession from the mids, they do lack a bit of drive. This makes for a well-presented but a little too easy-going for my tastes. Although for a $32 IEM, it still feels like the mids are doing more than they should.
Instrumentals were resolving and pleasantly detailed, offering clean acoustic and electric guitar tones. Vocals also have an intimate resonance, helped by a significant lift in the mid-bass that gives male performances more depth.
Highs
The treble range is no different than the rest of the frequency range. It is gentle with a good presence and it is detailed. Highs also extend well without hitting that harshness threshold.
The treble region mostly takes the midrange approach to relaxed but not recessed. It’s pretty applicable how the high-end response never seems to dip into dullness, as the frequencies still come off with a balanced tone.
The treble carries good detail with great definition and this contributes to the perception of clarity. The effortlessness and smoothness of the signature come from the perfect coherency between the three regions.
Soundstage
It would be a little ridiculous to expect anything substantial from the soundstage of a $32 IEM. That’s why the TINHiFii C2 2025 is so reliable as a budget IEM. Its ability to deliver a stereo field that is wide, layered, and dimensional appears completely uncompromised. A little uncomplicated, but it doesn’t need to be to give you a spacious image.
Instrumentals showcase a fine level of positioning in the left and right channels, displaying linear patterns of accuracy that are still enjoyable. In terms of depth and height, the imaging doesn’t exactly deliver, but it retains a clear presentation of its elements that are easy to localize.
Sum-Up
Harman tuning for the masses. If you love the Harman-style sound but are tight on the budget the TINHiFi C2 2025 will make you happy that’s for sure. You really can’t go wrong with a bargain IEM like the TINHiFi C2 2025.
It gives you a clear and consistent sound profile that is so easy to just sit back and enjoy. Some details may be missing in a few regions, but its response is more than what you pay for. If you’re looking for an IEM on a stricter budget, I think the C2 2025 is one of the safest choices to bet on.
