Desktop Bluetooth Receiver and Amplifier

Discrete Power Supply

An isolated power supply shields the analog conversion/amplification circuitry from EMI from the power supply. The fully isolated power supply includes filtering and regeneration to isolate the FD5 from any electrical grid noise. It uses 10 ELNA SILMIC II capacitors in the power supply section and an isolated DC power supply with an analog module powered by a high-resolution OPA1652 opamp for active noise isolation and voltage regulation.

4x AK4493 DAC Array

Utilizing four AKM AK4493 DAC chips, the FD5 uses current mode amplification for powerful output and an exceptional signal-to-noise ratio. The system includes a class A/AB amplification switch, LPF comprising 6 OPA1612, high-quality headphone amplification with 2 ADA4625-2, and a fully discrete headphone amplifier formed of 32 hand-matched transistors.

Dual Femtosecond-Grade Crystal Oscillators

The FPGA-based clock regeneration system has 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz femtosecond-grade audio-only crystal oscillators. Responsible for 44.1kHz-based and 48kHz-based audio, the system eliminates jitter, providing a precise clock source for high-quality audio.

Full Set of Ports

Standard ports include separate 3.5mm SE and 4.4mm balanced headphone ports, with a converter cable to 6.35mm for use with all IEMs, earbuds, and full-sized headphones. Additional 3.5mm SE and 4.4mm balanced line-out ports connect to additional headphone amplifiers.

Hi-Res Audio Support

Supports PCM 32/768 and DSD512, meeting pro audio equipment standards and consumer audio demands. MQA 16x unfolding provides master-tape quality audio, offering a concert or studio-like experience.
