OpenAudio Studio has announced its latest flagship set of premium in-ear monitors with a five-driver hybrid configuration, the OpenAudio Studio Mercury. Focused on presenting sound with ultimate vocals and details, the Mercury features a five-driver hybrid (1DD+4BA) configuration. OpenAudio Studio has designed the shells with a new-generation quicksand process.
OpenAudio has equipped its flagship pair of IEMs with a five-driver hybrid configuration. They have featured a newly-developed 9.2mm PU dynamic driver and four high-performance custom-tuned balanced armature drivers including a three-way frequency crossover.
The faceplates of the shells has a complicated and colourful drawing process following the quicksand design style.
OpenAudio Mercury comes bundled with a brand-new high-quality cable. It is a 4-core cable with 8 strands of high-purity wires to each core.
Mercury ear shells are designed after a deep study on mass data of auricle and ear canal samples. The cavity and vent design is optimized for maximum comfort by reducing the pressure on the ear canal. This also helps the pair to provide better isolation from the surrounding noises.
