Tempotec has announced its latest Portable USB DAC/AMP with MQA support, Tempotec Sonata MHD. Tempotec Sonata MHD supports 8x high-resolution MQA decoding as well as high-resolution 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and DSD128 decoding. The device has an output level of 2Vrms and an output power of up to 70mW.
Tempotec Sonata MHD comes withs a high-quality ES9281 ESS Sabre DAC chip. It supports high-resolution 32-Bit/384kHz PCM as well as DSD128 decoding with ultra-low distortion in the output signal. The MQA logo right on the front of the device has an RGB indicator light underneath it. It glows in different colors to represent the active bitrate. It glows red when connected but no signal, Blue for PCM 32-48kHz, Green for PCM 88.2-192kHz/DSD64, Light green for PCM 352.8-384kHz/DSD128. While playing MQA files this light glows with purple color.
Sonata MHD switches between “Call Mode” and “HiFi Mode”. Call mode gets activated once you connect any headphones with a microphone. It switches to HiFi mode for other high-resolution IEMs without an in-line microphone.
Tempotec Sonata MHD has a premium build with aluminum alloy chassis and a silver-plated monocrystalline copper link cable. Tempotec Sonata MHD fully supports HiBy Music application. It offers exclusive USB HQ audio access and MQA decoding completely initiated with the HiBy Music application.
